European Parliament Justifies Its Existence

The European Union, and the European Parliament in particular, gets a lot of criticism from across the political spectrum (although to be fair, much of it comes from one side of that spectrum). But if this post they made the other day - copied and pasted verbatim here (although unfortunately the emojis can't display on this site) - isn't enough to justify the existence of a supranational governing body and once and for all silence the naysayers, then clearly nothing will:
