Nice Little Friday in Kuwait, Part I

A very Kuwait City sunrise, from our 10th floor suite in Salmiya

Our Friday was so action packed that it should probably be broken up into a half dozen posts, but for brevity's sake, two will have to do. In chronological order:

  • Urban sunrise view from our suite

  • Indian-Kuwaiti fusion breakfast

  • Quick tour of The Avenues aka one of the largest shopping malls in the Middle East (and an impressive sight even if you think consumer capitalism is a plague on humanity)

  • (Non-alcoholic) beers and 'bites' at a giant Friday flea market in an industrial area

Coming up in Part II: Open day at Kuwait Motor Town, Kuwait Outdoor Sport Fair, Shisha by the sea, A return to The Avenues for some Black Friday shopping (and a Seinfeldian search for our car), Traditional Kuwaiti dinner and finally an incredibly boring US-England match in a working class Egyptian shisha garden....
