Lunch for Two

What lunch for two in the south of Serbia looks like. On the left, homemade sausages, skewered chicken livers wrapped in bacon and some perfectly roasted potatoes.

On the right, a pile of bread with spices, which the locals refer to as an ‘Albanian salad’. No joke. That’s what a salad looks like in these parts.

Also, not only is smoking indoors still allowed here, it seems to be encouraged. To the extent that if you’re the only person not smoking, people will ask you if you’re feeling okay. God bless Serbia…..
