Not All Yeti Are Created Equal
Yeti is a cool name for a Nepalese craft beer, but seems a little too unserious for an airline. Especially when the logo contains a footprint. Just sayin'.
Which is one of the reasons we'll be traversing the 200km between Kathmandu and Pokhara tomorrow on a bus, rather than a plane, despite the fact that it takes anywhere between 7-10 hours.
Your maths skills don't need to be elite to do the average speed there. It's gonna be scenic. Hopefully we get a window seat (and a driver who's been properly worshipping Ganesha, the Hindu god of travel, among loads of other stuff)....
NB: While checking Yeti Airline's history of accidents and incidents (there's been 6 in 24 years - not reassuring!), couldn't help but notice that Wikipedia says that since 2019 they've been the first and only carbon neutral airline in SE Asia, which seems like some incredibly creative accounting when you see how many daily shuttles they've got between Kathmandu, Pokhara and other relatively close Nepalese cities....
