Side Effects of Raksi: Accidental Firewalking

FYI, walking barefoot through piles of warm ash in smouldering rice paddy fields feels awesome - like walking on impossibly fluffy clouds or something. Or at least it does until you inevitably yet somehow still unexpectedly step on some actual coals. Ouch. Then it feels less awesome and more like burning.

On a completely unrelated note, the local alcohol of choice in these parts is a millet-based moonshine called raksi, which is technically not sold anywhere, but is seemingly produced and sold everywhere - and quite dangerously only costs 200 rupees (or $1.50) per litre.

Side effects of overconsumption can include things like thinking that walking barefoot through smouldering rice paddy fields on a Saturday afternoon is a great idea. Or at least that's what we've heard from other people....
