Village Still Life

Still Life, from our single pathway village of Sundhari Danda.

To the immediate left (out of the shot): The café restaurant we posted photos from yesterday. To the left: A little shop apparently run by a bunch of friendly white puppies.

In the near background: A small plateau, where the locals slaughter buffalo on special occasions and have village meetings. In the distant background: The hill above Rupa Lake, where there's a restaurant run by a super friendly Tibetan guy, with the world's greatest toilet.

In the foreground: A miraculous gourd, which we'd been meaning to take a photo of for a couple weeks, but always forgot about when leaving after lunch, until a couple days ago....
