Air India Pilots at Work

Given that Air India recently provided us with the worst airline experience we've had in almost 20 years (Delta will always be #1 when it comes to the worst in our book - they're the Michael Jordan of bad airlines, regardless of what these young, upstart budget carriers do nowadays), this story isn't surprising at all. And the title ‘Air India Pilot Brings Female Friend to Cockpit During Flight, Has Her Served Food and Drinks’ is really being nice, when you read the details of what happened:

“He said the cockpit should appear welcoming, warm and comfortable, as though he was preparing his living room for a lady friend. Also, to take her drinks and snacks order and serve her in the cockpit. I told him, ‘Captain, I am not comfortable serving alcohol in the cockpit.’ This seems to have upset him a lot and his entire attitude changed from that moment onwards. He became very snappy and rude and from there on started treating me like a servant working exclusively for him,” the crew member said in her complaint, reported by the Hindustan Times.

Clearly both the pilot and first officer should be fired - or worse - but since this is India and the infamous airline in question is now owned by an Indian conglomerate, the pilot will most likely get a promotion, and might even have a bright future in local politics if he's interested in changing fields at some point.....
