An Undeserved Beach Holiday

Our last minute decision to fly halfway around the world to spend indefinite lockdown time in Malaysia was already on the very shortlist of the best decisions we've ever made. And now that we've lucked into living steps from the water on a quiet 2km stretch of beach on a practically empty tropical island in the South China Sea, it's a clear frontrunner.

If you've ever questioned if those magazine photo spreads of perfect seas lapping against perfect beaches beneath perfect skies full of perfect fluffy clouds surrounded by perfect lush jungle-covered mountains could possibly be real, we assure you, they're real and they're spectacular! Travel isn't always as magical as the internet would have you believe, but sometimes it's even more so....

NB: Not opening a single website for a week, let alone social media, is a holiday everyone should take, especially this summer....
