Nepalese Peanut Paradox

Ancient Greeks get a lot of credit for their various philosophical paradoxes, but today we learned an ancient Nepalese one to rival them all, the Arachis Hypogaea Paradox:

Unshelled peanuts are a terrible idea for a meal if you're starving (because it's early afternoon and you skipped breakfast), but a great idea if you're sitting in the sun along a lakeside promenade (or technically a dam) and are in no hurry to walk back up the road of death to your idyllic guesthouse....

How do you like them apples, Zeno?
