๐—ข๐—ป ๐—ง๐—ต๐—ถ๐˜€ ๐——๐—ฎ๐˜† ๐—ถ๐—ป ๐Ÿฎ๐Ÿฌ๐Ÿญ๐Ÿฌ: Wow, Rwanda and Kigali are great. Hard to believe that 15 years ago 10% of the population got hacked up with machetes in less than 100 days. Strange world.

๐—ข๐—ป ๐—ง๐—ต๐—ถ๐˜€ ๐——๐—ฎ๐˜† ๐—ถ๐—ป ๐Ÿฎ๐Ÿฌ๐Ÿญ๐Ÿญ: Managed to get up at 4am and take an 11-hour bus ride to Harar. I'm still sick and the city doesn't have water, but my room has a balcony with a glorious 270ยฐ view so I'm content to the point of being giddy nonetheless (of course the Jim Beam probably doesn't hurt)....

๐—ข๐—ป ๐—ง๐—ต๐—ถ๐˜€ ๐——๐—ฎ๐˜† ๐—ถ๐—ป ๐Ÿฎ๐Ÿฌ๐Ÿญ๐Ÿฐ: I had no idea that Muscat's public city beach looked like this. I also had no idea that it was home to a branch of Slider Station - a Kuwaiti-based restaurant that is apparently 'The first conveyor-belt sliders & American tapas bar in the world'. I had dinner there and it was great, but have to admit that I have mixed feelings knowing that Kuwaitis are now officially the world leaders in the field of burger-related innovation.......
