The English Patient
Despite Michael Ondaatje being one of our favourite authors, we'd managed to start (on several occasions), but never get close to finishing, his most famous work, The English Patient.
But on the recommendation of our roommate Suri (seen below in the middle, explaining how much it's always bothered him that the cover photo contains a conspicuous mirror, when the main character has a well-known aversion to them) we decided to give it another try.
The only difficulty is finding a spot in which to read, where the bountiful nature surrounding the property isn't a distraction. Life is so tough sometimes....
