Wait, Ryanair's Not the Bad Guy?!?

The most surprising thing about this is that it's a story about Ryanair, where Ryanair isn't the bad guy. Wow! Guess it must've been the full moon or something…

On Tuesday, a couple was traveling from Ben Gurion International Airport (TLV) in Israel to Brussels South Charleroi Airport (CRL) on a Ryanair flight and had arrived late to the airport. During the check-in, the couple, who has not been identified, was told they needed to purchase an extra seat for their baby to travel with them. Rather than part with the additional cash, the couple decided to part with their child.

Even as someone who doesn't have and doesn't want kids, this seems a bit extreme. But then again, as someone who travels cheap and routinely cuts out all but the most basic of necessities, we can kind of see where these folks were coming from. We've all been there, right?
