We ❤️ Riohacha
It's easy when there's some 5km of almost entirely empty beach a few minutes walk from your apartment, and at 7am you can go for a stroll in the surf amongst the fishermen, seagulls and a handful of dogs, while whistling* the hits from Diana Ross & The Supremes.....
It's also refreshing to know that for every Cancún or Tulum that's been destroyed by tourism, there must be dozens of authentic gems like Riohacha in the world.....
*In hindsight is was more loudly humming and audibly belting out lyrics, as the wind is quite strong and sea quite loud here. Don't tell Diana Ross (or whomever she sold the rights to her music too).....
