KL Nostalgia Tour: Food Highlights

This is a typical Malaysian kopitiam, or food court, at breakfast time, where aunties and uncles prepare various different regional cuisines, or even just one or two specific dishes, from their independently operated food carts or stalls, while drinks are served by the kopitiam staff

Yesterday was a long nostalgia tour around KL, and the plan was to bore you with full documentation thereof, but we've got stuff to do today, so we'll just stick to the food, namely:

πŸ‡²πŸ‡Ύ πŸ‡²πŸ‡Ύ a bowl of Sarawak kolo mee (ie super flavourful pork noodles from Borneo) at our former local kopitiam (ie Malaysian style food court) for breakfast,

πŸ‡«πŸ‡· πŸ‡«πŸ‡· a heavenly caramel cream cheese pastry from a bakery in the basement of the building where the French embassy is located (owned by a Japanese guy who trained in France), and

πŸ‡ΈπŸ‡Ύ πŸ‡ΈπŸ‡Ύ a succulent, Syrian style chicken shawarma with just the right amount of toum (garlic sauce), ie enough so that you can still taste it when you go to bed many hours later

Mmmm mmmm mmmm.....
